Would you like to plan and implement an inbound, content-driven marketing strategy based on genuinely interesting content? Would you like to work for a company with a truly strategic view of marketing?

Job description

We have an exciting new role for an experienced marketing professional to build on our existing inbound marketing strategy, help us achieve our business development objectives and expand our sphere of influence.

With a focus on the Local Government business, this strategy consists of inbound, content-driven marketing along with key offline initiatives. The role will require someone who can work collaboratively, is a strategic thinker, digitally savvy, a strong writer, analytical, and intrinsically motivated.

Who would you be working with?

.id was started in 1997 by a group of people who are deeply interested in public policy and urban planning and who want to contribute to building a good society in Australia. They also wanted to break free from the corporate mould, creating a place where they enjoyed going to work. Twenty years on these values are still the driving force behind .id and the forty of us who work here.

Our contribution to society is to build the demographic and economic evidence-base upon which important decisions are made. How many new primary schools does Victoria need and where should they be located?  Where should elite football teams locate their training grounds?  How can we help increase the number of people donating blood?  What are a region’s economic strengths and how can they be developed? Our team of demographers, economists, spatial analysts, urban planners, forecasters, census data and IT experts answer these sorts of questions.

Why is it an exciting marketing role?

We have a substantial online presence, having pioneered the delivery of demographic information online. We enjoy over 2.5 million sessions on our 600 online information resources each year; 500,000 people visit our blog and website; 10,000 people subscribe to our monthly newsletter and 5,000 people read our bi-weekly blog articles.

We use Hubspot’s marketing and sales integration software to manage and measure our inbound marketing effort and connect marketing directly to business development.

We have more exciting content than you can shake a stick at, more ideas than we have time to write down, a highly focused vision, and we see marketing as a strategic effort that can help us expand our reach and influence.
