As demographers, our skill is in converting large quantities of data into a narrative about places and the people who live there. We have a framework for doing this, which we share with our clients to help them tell their story.

Understanding your business

We don’t start with the data. We start by understanding your business and the questions you need to answer. It sounds simple, but it’s the key to providing a solution that works. You know your business, and we know how to get the data to answer your strategic questions.

Collaboration

We collaborate with our clients from project scoping through to final presentations and review. We don’t work to a brief that we know won’t answer your questions – we see ourselves as part of the team and work together on the solution.

Building a narrative

Data doesn’t help make decisions unless it tells a story that people can relate to. We convert data into a narrative that answers your questions and helps bring others along on the journey.

Long term relationships

Decision making is iterative. You answer your first set of questions, and it leads to new ones. We like to build an evidence-base for our clients over time, learning as we go. We’ve worked with some clients for over ten years and feel like part of their team.

What a refreshing approach. Their approach was to sit down with us to fully understand the problem. How do we approach this? Is there a solution? Then they helped us solve the problem by applying their demographic knowledge to the problem. They helped us scope the project and then delivered and the whole focus was on answering the strategic question.
