For the past 25 years, .id has supported Australia’s local government sector through the provision of small area demographic, population forecasting and economic insights and data. In recent years, the range of services provided to local government has expanded to include small area housing and community sentiment services.

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager who will focus on increasing the number of products servicing the local government market.

You will build strong relationships, understand client needs, and drive product adoption across government agencies involved in place-based decision-making. You…

  • (ideally) have experience working with the local government sector.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Demonstrated abilities in a sales and scaling business revenue.
  • At least 5 years of experience in relevant professional sales roles.
  • Understand how to represent our products, selling based on value rather than cost
  • Excellent communication skills - abilities to write, present, converse and listen
  • Strong time management skills; the ability to manage multiple concurrent leads
  • A commitment to working transparently and collaboratively with your team
  • The ability and willingness to travel interstate
  • Current drivers’ license
  • Relevant tertiary degree and/or relevant experience
  • A curious disposition
  • Self-motivated and hungry to win

This is a full-time ongoing role based in our Melbourne (Collingwood) office.
