This was followed by profiling of strategic industries and how they leveraged the region’s advantages. Local businesses and new projects were highlighted to support the narrative and provide examples for investors.

Armidale Regional Council engaged .id to develop a profile of the local economy. The objective was to present a clear, consistent and concise story about the Armidale Regional economy that can be used to target investment attraction and support the economic development strategy.
Our method
The report presented an overview of the Armidale economy with focussed analysis on the region’s key competitive advantages. This was followed by profiling of strategic industries and how they leveraged the region’s advantages. Local businesses and new projects were highlighted to support the narrative and provide examples for investors.
The report also included a mapping of economic and industry strengths and weaknesses to inform future economic development planning.
Results
.id prepared a story about the Armidale economy that is being used to inform economic development plans and guide investment attraction. Our slide deck based approach allowed Council to tailor their investment attraction activities to different industry sectors.
